Post Motor Vehicle Accident Assessment
A post motor vehicle collision assessment evaluates an individual’s social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural functioning after a vehicle collision/accident. It may lead to diagnoses or recommendations related to trauma or other aspects of psychological/mental health functioning.
Your insurance company may request this type of assessment after a vehicle collision or accident.
The assessment may include a combination of clinical interviews, rating scales, cognitive evaluation, psychometric testing, and more. At the end of the assessment, the psychologist will compile the data into a letter (or report, if necessary) that will be shared with you and your insurance provider. When you receive your letter/report, your psychologist will discuss your individualized results and recommendations with you. You will be able to ask any questions you have at this time.
